In honor of National Case Management Week, we would like to take a moment to recognize and honor case management professionals for their exceptional expertise and dedication to improving the lives of injured workers each and every day. Although this is the week set aside to recognize them, we are grateful for their work every day of the year.
There are over 47,000 Certified Case Managers who dedicate their careers to being a kind, knowledgeable constant in an ever-evolving world of new models and methods of care, new technology and increasing regulations. Case managers serve as the single point-of-contact, subject matter experts and seasoned navigators in a medical world that may be confusing and daunting to patients of all ages.
We applaud our industry’s Case Managers and hope you know how appreciative we are of everything you do!
About Case Management Week
Each year, there is a week dedicated to recognizing the impact Case Management professionals have on the healthcare industry. Modern case management was developed in the 1980’s as we saw a rise in concentration on the chronically ill and cost containment plans, leading to provider-based programs in hospitals and treatment centers nationwide.
In present times, the need for case managers is growing as our population ages and the need for quality care intensifies.
This year, the theme of Case Management week is: Setting New Standards for Care. This theme was chosen to “emphasize the impact professionals in case management make every day”.
Join us in celebrating and recognizing Certified Case Management Professionals this week!
