According to the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America, Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) Certification “recognizes demonstrated competence in analyzing the needs of consumers with disabilities, assisting in the selection of appropriate assistive technology for the consumer’s needs, and providing training in the use of the selected device(s).” via https://resna.org. At Orchid Medical our ATP Certified staff provides additional expertise for catastrophic claims, which could include Home Health Care, Home & Vehicle Modifications, and Orthotics & Prosthetics.
Orchid Medical’s Vice President of Operations, David Anderson, became ATP Certified in February 2011. This allows him to analyze the needs to individuals with disabilities, assist in the selection of the appropriate equipment and train the patient how to properly use the specific equipment. Furthermore, only 2,800 people in the country have earned this certification, so it is certainly an advantage for our company and the workers’ compensation industry. “This is one of the highest certifications offered in complex rehabilitation and further proof of our commitment to providing the best in class service to our clients and patients,” said Paul Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of Orchid Medical.
Communication, attention to detail, the expertise and knowledge of our staff, and our commitment to providing the best customer service at all costs are what set us apart from the competition. This is yet another example of an additional layer of expertise that Orchid Medical can provide to our clients and their injured workers.
